Our home is bloody beautiful. There is colour, creativity and food all over the place and while it may not be perfectly neat, it oozes life and love. Every now and then we open it up to the world to share our experiences and to inspire others to "get into it."
Hannah + Anton's vision statement*
We moved onto our property in 2012 and have been developing it into a permaculture homestead ever since. In 2016 we bought the neighbouring bush/weed block and are expanded our food and animal system into that space.
Special features include using edible forest gardens to stabilise steep earth banks, honey bees, goats, chickens and a retrofitted house to be more energy efficient and to have more people living on site!
You can read more about our home here and over at David Holmgren’s Retrosuburbia website.
*A vision statement is a present tense paragraph that aims to capture what the clients are looking to achieve with their land. It’s written in present tense so it feels more real – this helps clarify where they’re heading. If it doesn’t sound or feel right, we change it until it does.
